Before the first race kicked off at this year’s Hyde Park Blast, Evan Huey, our inspiring 2025 Amblastador and Medulloblastoma warrior, took the stage to share a few heartfelt words.
With courage and confidence, Evan delivered a speech that reminded everyone why this event matters—and the strength behind every step taken that day. His message set the tone for a day filled with purpose, unity, and hope.

We’re so proud of you, Evan!
About one and half years ago, I was diagnosed with cancer. It was Medulloblastoma which is a rare brain cancer that affects younger children typically, and I had stage 4, lucky me.
But with the help of my mom, dad, and friends I prevailed and now I’m cancer free for almost 8 months now!
I have a bunch of supporters here including my friend Dave Patterson who just celebrated his 24th birthday and I just got back from the NBA Finals which was awesome!
I want to thank my medical team for everything they have done and I hope everyone has a great time, thank you!
