Evan Huey Meets NBA Star Obi Toppin at Dayton Basketball Camp
On July 30, 2025, Evan Huey experienced another unforgettable moment thanks to A Special Wish Foundation – Southwest Ohio Chapter and CareSource. Evan was invited to attend the Obi Toppin Basketball ProCamp, held at the University of Dayton RecPlex—a high-energy event hosted by NBA star and former Dayton Flyer, Obi Toppin, a key member of the Indiana Pacers’ 2025 NBA Finals team.
The two-day camp, running July 30–31, brought together young athletes from across the region for skills training, games, and the chance to meet one of the game’s rising stars. For Evan, the day held something truly extraordinary.
He had the opportunity to meet Obi Toppin one-on-one, pose for a photo, and even receive a signed Indiana Pacers jersey directly from Obi himself. The interaction was personal, uplifting, and unforgettable—bringing pure joy to a young basketball fan whose spirit continues to inspire everyone around him.
This special experience was made possible through the incredible generosity of A Special Wish Foundation – Southwest Ohio, CareSource, and the Obi Toppin ProCamp team. Their commitment to making dreams come true gave Evan a day filled with excitement, encouragement, and connection.
